Planter boxes are useful for keeping plants in place and they grow healthily. So, growing plants in a garden does not always use expensive pots. Simple, yet attractive planter boxes you make by yourself can be a great feature to add in your garden. To make a planter box, you should firstly prepare the planter box plans so that everything can be well completed.
The plans of your planter box can be made by aligning two 4-foot cedar sheets to create the good angled shape. Line up the edge of one board with the face of the other board. Make sure to use high quality cedar that is resistant to water damage for preventing rot. Now prepare 4-foot boards and attach them with 4-inch nails. Hammer them through the face of one board into the other. Keep hammering the nails until the heads are flush against the board. Planter box plans then can be made by placing 3-foot board along the opposite edge of the angled structure you have made before. Put the 1-inch edge of the board facing the other 3-foot board. Make these boxes across one another to make sure that the planter boxes are level. Back to the 3-foot boards and attach them using 4-inch nails and a hammer. Again, hammer the nails until they are flush with the wood. Now you can align a 1-foot by 1-foot sheet to one open end of the planter box. Line it to the three sheets of wood and secure it with 4-inch nails. Repeat this step to the remaining wood sheets to complete all the structures of planter boxes.
To make your planter box plans more interesting, you can paint them in the color you like that matches with the surrounding in your garden. Add some creative designs to the planter box if you want to.
